I would think that *not* releasing on PSN would be something of a mistake... but remember that if you release a title on PSN, you're allowing 5 copies of that game, tied to devices associated with the PSN account that bought it, to exist. This is incorrect. Only the device that downloads the game can access it. That is why some people are complaining to Sony because they downloaded the PSP games on to their PS3 and planned on transferring it to speed up download times, but it didn't let them make the transfer.
Or perhaps I misunderstood you?
