also, wii sports can HARDLY be called a game lmao.. I got 20 free flash games with my PS3.. does that count as a game?

Hey Gamelover, meet opinion.. In terms of content, Wii Sports is more of a game than most... Call of Duty for instance (ignoring it's DLC) takes what? 6-8 hours to complete single player, then the rest is repeating the same experiences over and over against friends/online people. Wii Sports takes about 10 hours to complete as a 1 player experience, more or less depending on how quickly you get used to the controls anyway.. then the rest of the time you spend repeating the same experiences over and over against friends/family.

if you call completing all Wii sport games on hardest difficulties playing the game hten surely all trophies/achievements + max online rank counts for your COD example?

Wii sports is NOT a full game.. don't care how you bend or turn it

Opinions lol

Its most certainly a full game, especially once you factor in the multiplayer aspect

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Well I will agree Call of Duty would probably last me longer too (though that is solely due to the online)

I wasn't however talking about completing it all on hardest difficulties, I was talking about simply getting to pro level in each sport, as well as getting bronze in each of the training games..... and I am almost certain getting the max online rank is piss-easy compared to getting to the max skill level in all 5 Wii Sports (considering I haven't managed it in any of them, though I am close in Tennis and Boxing... I am a long way away in golf and leagues for baseball and bowling) And I haven't got all golds in the training either.

Single player wise I have spent about 50 hours on the game, about 25-30 of that was simply improving my score on Tennis and Boxing (ie well above pro level) but the basics still take time. Then a further 60 hours spent on multiplayer.

CoD aside however there are many games that last all of 6 hours, and you can barely double that even by completing it on hardest and getting all those unlockable sentences you like.

Consoles by themselves it's PS3

However, Wii games are cheaper than PS3 games so in the long run the Wii is cheapest overall

A scooter is better value for money in miles traveled than any car, most people own cars so what does that tell you?

Tease.

PS3 because of the exclusive games that it got and blu ray is just awesome in general..... online is free

Wii and 360 are the clear winners for me. PS3 doesn't have anything worth mentioning that Wii and 360 don't have.

PS3 because of Blu-Ray in a straight forward sense.

But honestly I've spent like almost $1000 on my PS3 + 360 together.

When I have friends over ... that $1000 investment is pretty much worthless because some of my friends are novice gamers and its no fun for them to sit there.

So we end up playing Wii almost all the time ... because everyone can play, even the girlfriends, cousins, uncles/aunts.

In that situation the Wii is worth more to me than the PS3 + 360 combined. Like I said, it depends on the situation.

I've poured more hours into Halo 3 than any other game on the console market. Also I know a lot of people who will consistantly play it three-four times a week.

So, lets do the math here.

I paid 199$ for the console. 90$ for a used hard drive. 60$ for ONE of my games.

I've probably dumped a couple thousand hours into the game. We'll say 1500 for the sake of making me not look like a complete nerd. I'll throw in another 1000 hours for all of my other games.

So for all of that, 349$. Lets throw in 40 bucks for batteries. 389$

So for Halo 3, I've paid .25 cents an hour plus the xbox live hourly rate which I'm fairly sure is less than 1 cent.

I suppose thats what gets lost in all of this. Yeah, I'm missing out on Blu-Ray. How many movies do I buy anymore? I stream Netflix to my Xbox whenever I'm in the mood. Yeah, I'm missing out on the Wii. I have not seen a single person that plays one single Wii game for more than a few hours (excluding Wii fit).

While I can see everyones point, I just don't think you can automatically put the 360 last. It's the intangibles. Sure, you will be playing Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain, but long after those games are collecting dust I'll probably still be playing some form of Halo or GoW.

I think the PS3 is and has been for a while the best value for its price. It may or may not be the BEST console, but its definately the most valuable.
