Everyone saying his connection sucks for gaming is wrong. You don't need ridiculously high bandwidth to do online gaming. His connection speed is more than enough to play and game online. The only problem he will run into is if any other device connected to the router is trying to get on the internet, or download something, then he will get lag. Just make sure no one else in the house is trying to send a giant email with pictures/video or something.

My character is also freezing on Uncharted only. i can play killzone 2 online no problems.

it only freezes when i goto shoot someone or when they shoot at me, until then i can walk fine.

That should be fine. Just make sure you aren't download anything in the background.

I use the 3mb one and I feel it's hella slow.

It's probably going to take another 2 years for FIOS to cover the whole city.

Yea. my wireless connection is secured, and i never have anything downloading in the background. And my ps3 is the only otherthing getting the internet connection. Still getting character freezes. Every single deathmatch/ competetive game. but the co-op game modes work fine.

edit: would my router have anything to do with this issue? i have netgear

i have had this problems many times. Most the time my game show me at 4-5 bars of a connection which should be good. I have also got 5 connection errors and it takes me a while to join a game. Never had a problem here with Call of Duty 4 or 5 or any other online games but this game has given me many many problems

could be the way your router is letting info through. Try putting your PS3 in a dmz on your router
