Always try not to screw up console with any corrupt firmware update, such freezes are then bound to occur. Well waiting to get my hands on UC 2.

It's interesting, I haven't heard that this problem is as widespread as claimed in here. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but I haven't heard the problem was as large as feared.

Check the Gamespot forums lots of people on there saying that they have the problem.

my launch 60 isnt having any problems and i had uncharted 2 on for about 13 hours, had been taking rests dont worry :) 9hours and 40 mins total play time so far on hard :o but yeah, no problem so far *touch wood*

I have had no problems as well, maybe your PS3 is dirty, I was having issues with Fallout 3 freezing all the time. Then I bought a Blu-ray lens cleaner and also vacuumed the vents and have had no problems since.

Also to the person who said they used a can of compressed air, I wouldn't ever use that again if I were you. It voids the warranty and can sometime make it worse.
