From watching the insidesimracing video Froza 3 score very well especially when it comes to damage. Yet having to use the clutch for every single gear chance may sound like a good idea at first but in practice not very fun.(something even a pc racing sim doesn't force you to do with manual clutch) I've actually tried to do this with PC sims before and after 10 minutes it's not very fun nor very conformable. (Even my back started to ache yet maybe if i had insidesimracing racing unit it may be a little more comfortable) I still like manual clutch  as I like using the clutch at take offs as well as gearing down to a much lower gear (like 6 to 3 for example)

Still from insidesimracing impressive review I would go out and buy a 360 solely for Forza 3 if I could use a Logitech racing wheel. For some legal reasons Logitech is not able to support X360  (including  G27) which is a real shame.

You don't have to play manual with clutch.  You can play just manual or automatic.

I realize this so I would not use manual clutch for Froza 3.

The comparison is completely worthless. It's comparing a completely finished, playable game to still promotional photos of an obsolete damage build.

They're also comparing a game 2 years in the making to a game 5 years in the making... That says a lot right there.

Shows how much graphics can improve in an extra 3 years.

Well Inside Sim Racing reviewed the new Fanatec wheel better than the G27. So just get the better wheel.

Hmm we will just have to see how much Forza 3 sells....

Really? From my understanding they will later compare the different wheels. Also I'm not the only one who like G25/27 better. (Of course only a few has the new S wheel) Plus you talking about  at least another $200-$400.

While the Fanatec wheel can be played on the PS3 yet from my understanding it's not officially support by Sony so just as Mircosoft will no longer allow unofficial HDD to be used on the 360 Sony could probably do the same by blocking unofficial wheels if they wanted to. So far Sony hasn't follow Mircosoft path to stop the use of  non-PS3 accessories.

The new Fanatec wheel was designed along with FM3. It's FM3's official wheel. It's not out to public just yet. Very soon. They said it was an amazing wheel. Best Force feedback wheel yet. They only gave G27 1 point overall more than G25. They said alot of the wheel is identical at what it does. And is more of a baby step than a new revolution. They said Fanatec wheel was brilliant scoring 96. ( G27 92 )

Lets wait and see GT5 in action, shall we? Only T10 is guaranteeing that none of their screenshots are touched up.

F3 has fake visual damage. PD is working on real visual damage for GT5 it was shown behind closed doors.

Fixed for accuracy

 yahh ha sure.

They are working on real damage not that prerendered visual stuff of forza some of you love so much.  Thats the differance between Gt and Forza fanbase, one is fine with fake as long as its eye pleasing the other wants real damage with physics behind.  Damage as in aredynamics all out of whack messed up camber alignment.

Look at the speed the cars crash in forza streight into a wall like that would tottal the car, its just so damn fake.  Great racer but no sim, Gt strives to be as good a sim as possible Forza does not.

As much as they are said to go after the same people they don't.  GT goes for the auto enthusiast while Forza the 16 year old that wants stickers and a big wing on his car.

Iam not saying pd will mnage to do what thye want surely not on all the cars.  But id rather have real damage on the race cars then fake stuff on everything.

Hell id rather have a wind tunnel ingame to mess with aero stuff then all the body kits and damge stuff.  My car would not go past 200kph but damn it woudl stick during cornering.  But thats just me.

Do you know anything about FM3? Your comments tell me you don't? FM3 is full aerodynamic modelling. Based on Mclarens billion dollar simulator. Getting in a slipstream and then pulling out to overtake has the car hit turbulent air affecting the car. Use a wheel with forcefeedback and this is so apparant. You say GT goes for auto enthusiast and FM for 16 year old. Major LOL. Thats why the physics in FM3 have beat PC sims. LOL. Proper tyre flex and deformation that affects the cars handling, proper downforce due to realtime aerodynamic modelling. Use the clutch wrong or to heavy will result in you screwing up your gears. The list goes on.

People keep saying Polyphony are working on new engines for damage etc. I'm not as nieve as many. 5 months till release. Hate to break it to you, but new engines etc normally take 12-18 months to design and are undertaken in the first phase of development. Dont expect GT5 to be much different to what youve already witnessed. If it is going to be, expect the release date to slip for Japan from March to the holidays.

ROFL... i love it how once someone gets behind a monitor they become experts on all things.

This turbulent air you speak of is a phenomon in Formula 1 and other high downforce race cars, i'm guessing your a fan of F1 by your picture, but clearly you don't fully understand it.

The way it works is that an F1 car is designed in a wind tunnel, and is designed with air blowing strait at the car (clean air), when one F1 car is closely following behind another the car in front creates a disruption in the air passing over the car (turbulent air or dirty air) and then when this hits the car behind the aerodynamics which have been specifically designed to work with clean air do not work so well as the air is not passing over the car in the same way as it was simulated.

This is why overtaking in Formula 1 is so difficult, and it is why they changed the rules this season to reduce aero and instead change to slick tyres to increase mechanical grip while reducing aero grip.

Apparently everything related to GT5 is inferior to selnor.
