You should make sure to play Drake's Fortune first, it will make Among Thieves a lot better. But regardless, Uncharted 2 is a really great game, and the metacritic score is well deserved!

Don't even bother about metacritic score, it's just stuff for zealots who don't play videogames.

Matacritic is good to have an idea about the game, read some reviews, then you have to play the game and judge by yourself.

I have got Uncharted2, and it's fantastic, marvellous, incredible, the best action/adventure I have ever played.   Congrats ND !

If you don't feel like playing Uncharted (maybe because you've tried it before and didn't like it) I would just jump in with Uncharted 2.  It's on a whole other level from the first one (which was already a great and highly polished game).  Nothing has ever been made to compare to this game -- which isn't to say it's the best game of all time, just that it does so many things so much better than other games that it really feels like it belongs in its own category.  The pacing and the way the story is told almost feels like... Half Life 2 and Ico had a baby, which then trained its whole life in the ways of the Hollywood blockbuster.  That's really reaching.  Just naming some games that it picks up ideas from, and the level of inspiration it must have taken to make the game.

And then there's the multiplayer, which is amazing, polished, and really stands out from all the other shooters by making you feel like you're playing both an action/platformer game and a shooter at the same.

Compared with GTA4...
