In an ironic turn of events, Dsister volunteers to join "bandwagon" vote, only to have the town turn and bandwagon on him.
Dsister, I take it you're not going to bandwagon and vote yourself?
Dsister has been taken into custody for questioning.
NIGHT 3 BEGIN
If you have a night role, please pm me with your actions so I can start the next day asap. Thx
Commentary:
I understand that since its a "dark" game, everyone is extra cautious when posting and is afraid of getting caught in your own words.
HOWEVER, it makes for a much more interesting game if you post more. If you're a townie, you really have nothing to hide so I don't see why you guys aren't posting as much.
Also, it sort of forces Kiras to post more in response so that they are forced to defend themselves, or in the very least won't be considered "lurkers". The more they post, the more chance it is for them to get caught up in their own words. Understand?
The less people post here, the more advantage the Kiras have, since they don't really have to "prove" their innocence and can simply cherry pick the lurkers.
Anyways, just a thought. But you guys are pretty experienced enough and don't need any of my advice, right?
The problem is we can never know the number of bad guys to good guys. As such we can't just randomly string someone up and see how everyone reacts. The reaction might be a scum protecting scum, or it might just be two innocents banding together out of trust. There will naturally be more caution in this scenario. Of course I am always crazy agressive so it won't slow me down but thats just how I roll.
It becomes such a delicate balance though. If I have an "open game", then everyone goes "LET'S LYNCH HIM TO SEE IF HE'S TELLING THE TRUTH AND TO SEE WHO HE IS"
Or if I have too many power roles it becomes "LETS SEE WHAT THE COP SAYS" and the mafia are pretty much at the mercy of the doctor/cop.
I think both of those lines of thinking take away from the "I read your post history and you are a contradicting, hypocritical liar which means you are most likely scum" way of playing. I want Death Note to ALWAYS be more focused on this method of play and I think as such it becomes incredibly hard.
I understand that on the townie side everyone is incredibly cautious; but on the otherside, it FORCES Kira to be even that much more incredibly cautious. How would you like to say something stupid and then end up getting voted off and losing the entire game on day 1?
Iono, like I said I will have a post "death notes" discussion.
I am not saying switch to an open game. I am saying you should expect a lot less discussion. Thats just how it goes.
I like to think that I put a lot of thought into this. Anyways, yeah I'll have to bounce some ideas off you guys to make sure that I'm not off the deep end.
I want to jerk around with you guys and leave you guys in the dark just one more time before I explain all my reasoning
You almost certainly have put a lot of thought into this. I have a lot of evidence for this though. The dark games are quieter even with a lot of the same people.
i like the way this game works, more mystery, not knowing if we got the right people till the end is a really clever twist to the game imo
