First off, there's more to Dragon Ball than just 'DBZ'. Look to Dragon Ball Advance Adventure (GBA), Dragon Ball Origins (DS) or Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo (Wii) for that. Second of all, there isn't over 100 Dragon Ball games like with Mario.
Anyway, my view with Raging Blast is that it looks good, like most Dragon Ball fighters, but from the amount of gameplay footage we've seen, it doesn't seem to be improving much from the already set Dragon Ball fighting formula.
Dragon Ball Budokai 3 on the PS2 was probably one of the biggest and most content filled games on the system, as well as being one of the best Anime based games ever made. So this game has a lot to live up to. But as it stands right now, that's its problem. The gameplay looks to be practically identical to Budokai 3, with few upgrades such as cleaner graphics and new character animations. The games most attractive 'new' features look to be the online multiplayer and new story modes, but these things might not be as big of a seller as they would be for a more mainstream fighter such as Soul Calibur or Dead or Alive. On the flip side, since Budokai 3 already used nearly every character (and story mode) from DBZ and GT, this game might have a hard time adding new content.
Of course, the game could have a lot more content we're not seeing. We'll just have to see.
