Did anyone read see the Destructoid review for this game? It's abysmal!

http://www.destructoid.com/review-assassin-s-creed-2-155807.phtml

They gave it 4.5/10. The game is in no way, shape or form lower than average in any individual regard. The gameplay might not be as innovative as this is the second time around but very few if any games provide the same type of experience or atmosphere. The graphics are phenomenal for an open world game, the voice acting is solid, the sound track further proved Jesper Kyd is a genius, and the variety in gameplay has pretty much everyone I've talked to unable to put the game down.

But w/e. Some people just love the attention. Just keep enjoying it :)

Just finished in 12 hours 10 minutes, apparently with 58% synchronisation

However, the end has just left me scratching my head

Did you get "The Truth"

If you don't want to bother with the strange signs on the buildings and the puzzles they reveal then check this out. I wont embed it for the spoiler, however.

Finally beat it today. While it still has some issues, it was a better experience than the first game.

Ugh.. I don't mind having to hold the buttons to free run and it usually works pretty well in the cities, but it's at its worst in the secret assassin tombs.

I'm liking it so far, the freedom of movement is amazing!

- From By Schism Rent Asunder

Been playing for about 7-8 hours now, but I'm taking my sweet time exploring and completing all the side stuff.

I'm already prepared to say that this game blows the original away in about every way possible. So far it is my GOTY, however I have yet to rent and play UC2 so we'll see if that holds up.

Shame this game is the dissapointment of the year ahh well maybe 3rd time lucky for the ASS CREED games?

This is in MY HUMBLE OPINION.......

Just about to pick up my platinum! Thank god for it telling you where you have got your feathers, I had gone round everywhere and got 99 feathers, but then it told me which district of Venice it was in, so I found it pretty easily, now I just need to go to every city to get the last trophy, and then I'' play some Dragon Age

It has taken me just under 18 hours to complete 67.2% apparently... Despite that ludicrous percentage completion I have every weapon and have fully upgraded my villia

I forgot to knock one of the archers off the roof so I'm doomed to have to play up until that point again in the story if I ever want to get platinum.

Maybe if I ever rent it again.

Time to Work !

Does anyone know which (if any) version is better? I have a 360 and PS3, and want this game but can't decide which system to get it for...a few places have said the 360 is better but this seems to be mainly fanboy ranting so far as I can see...

According to the Lens of Truth analysis the 360 version has less screen-tearing and a slightly higher frame rate. If you don't know what these are or don't mind screen-tearing and can't see the difference between a .5 frame rate difference on average (and really... I don't think anyone can unless both are side by side and even then it'd be difficult) then go with either version. I'd say whichever controller feels more natural to you for a game like this is the deciding factor for AC2. I went with the 360 version as I played the first with that controller. Either way you're getting a solid and fairly equal experience.
