This is a great deal and a good idea to promote the game via word of mouth. It's a really fun game and you'd be silly to miss this deal.

Did you buy Radiohead's last album? They did a buy (online) for whatever you think it's worth with no minimum price, actually I think their minimum price was $0.00 i.e. you could get it for free. Most Radiohead fans paid something because they new 100% of the money was going to Radiohead rather than a record label. My brother bought the album for $2.

Radiohead did pretty well out of it by all accounts.

Its no suprise most people would have played it on PC. What with the crazy piracy levels (WoG on PC is DRM free) and nowthis awesome promotion.

I have it on Wii. Bought it for $15, worth every penny.

You guys do realize that every PC is different right? Maybe his computer has software that conflicts with many games and it "stutters" and "crashes". I enjoy PC gaming a lot, but I'm not in denial about it's problems. That being the previous mention of "stutters" and "crashes". It doesn't always have to be hardware that causes it either. Anyway I will be buying the PC version right now just because I like the Wii game and it is probably one of the best deals as of late.

And to be honest, I really doubt World of Goo could stutter on ANY PC that can run, say, XP, we're not talking about GTA4, we're talking about World of Goo...And, even if it did stutter, it would be a problem of the PC, not of the game

No, that's really not true. Unless he personally fucked up his own PC anything made since 2002 should be running this game without the slightest hitch. PC gaming's "problems" generally come from ignorance, which is what he's spreading.

Well when the problems are software-based any game no matter how little taxing could have problems. I'm thinking that he must have had bad experiences with other PC games and just though "why bother?" Also some people(definately not me), have trouble playing games at a chair in front of a monitor. I agree though, the reasons given weren't really "good", but who needs to explain theirselves about things like this?

Everyone should be able to explain and defend their position if they are going to defame an entire gaming platform. There are badly programmed games on all platforms, PC or not, and the condition of PC as a platform is not something that makes this more common... especially these days.  The amount of buggy games I've played this generation has skyrocketed, and most of them have been on consoles.

"Should" and "Having to" are two different things. Bad programming has very little to do with what we are discussing. Both games are programmed pretty much the same, we are discussing which is more reliable when in consideration of the rest of the system. I love PC gaming to a very large degree, but I had my fair share of problems with getting some games to work properly, and I could see why some people accept the unquestionable reliability of a console( if it is doesn't work, it is definate something is wrong with the console itself and not a confliction). Console games are developed for one platform in mind rather than many, all with the same OS and no programs that could cause a confliction with the game. Basically the troubles for some aren't enough to be rewarded with the benefits of PC gaming. For me, this isn't the case, but I can see how it could be. Having said that, the person in question mentioned very little on reliability and first mentioned control aspects, which is pretty weird I guess, but everybody has their reasons whether it is a valid one or not, they do have a reason. So even though the reason was pretty much invalid to many, it is still why he chose the Wii game over the PC game. Seeing that he doesn't "have to" explain himself at all, and many don't, it isn't that bad really.
