Infamous and Ratchet and clank are good games and I think Infanous is around $40 now and if you like sports FIFA 2010

for PSN Wipeout HD it's an amazing game

My most recommended PSN Games:

Trine is great in single player and in couch coop. It's a platformer where you control three fantasy characters -- an armored warrior, a female thief with a box and a grappling hook, and a wizard who can magically summon boxes and platforms. Coop is hilarious and actually more challenging than single player, because in single player you can change characters whenever you want. In coop, you have to figure out how to get everyone through every puzzle, so the game changes significantly. It's also a pretty long game for a PSN title -- it took me about 7 hours.

Flower is just a really great experience. Even friends who only play shooters have beaten this game and loved it, and now have to deal with the fact that they love a game about flowers and the wind. It starts out as the most relaxing game I've ever played, and from there it gets interesting.

Fat Princess is a really unique online multiplayer game, and underrated on metacritic because of some serious launch issues.

Pixeljunk Eden if you like simple, challenging gameplay and couch coop. It's like playing a retro game that never quite existed.

Shatter is a breakout game slash shmup, kind of...  ok, not really a shmup but it has boss battles and energy shields and magnetism and manages to feel like it's not a breakout game either, but something new.  Easy to play through in one sitting without realizing it, which takes a decent chunk of time.

Since you don't have a 360,
Castle Crashers and Braid (which is also on PC) when they come out later this year. (They came out on 360 first, and are two of my favorite games in years.)

Valkyria Chronicles looks very interesting.
Flower is a definite along with PixelJunk and probably Fat Princess.
Trine and Braid I have for PC and are phenomenal.
Ratchet i'll have to look into since I don't know much about the gameplay.
Also have to check out Disgaea 3 and DMC 4 since I did over look those 2.

Also:

Street Fighter 4, Fallout 3, Valkeria Chronicles, Oblivion and DEFINATELY Uncharted 2 it's AMAZING. Also Dead Space it's $20 at gamespot brand New that's a crazy good deal!

As a recent owner as well, I bought Resistance, Killzone 2, Uncharted and Valkyria Chronicles.

All four are good/fun games, but Valkyria Chronicles would be the real standout for me. I'd REALLY miss it if I had to give up my PS3.

So I highly recommend Valkyria Chronicles.

I think there's a demo for Ratchet and Clank:TOD on PSN.

R&C: Quest For Booty is quite an enjoyable PSN game and only costs about $10-$15 for at least 4-5 hours of platforming/puzzle entertainment.

Dynasty Warriors 6 (Local Co-op) and Dark Kingdom (Local + 4 player online co-op) are both cheap online hack and slash games you could pick up. Not the greatest quality, but fun for what they are.

I don't know what kind of games you like but something that hasn't been mentioned here which I personally enjoyed is Foklore.

A great game if you like the genre it's in, wish the price would drop on it so more people would be willing to pick it up. Being 59.99 at many places still is unreasonable.

way of the samurai wasnt on my radar until i read an article yesterday on gamesradar "7 reasons you should care about way of the samurai 3" and now im really looking forward to it. ot: if you like god of war and devil may cry you should check out darksiders:wrath of war when it comes out in january. game looks amazing!
