I wager to say the Wii version is going to be beyond what the DS can do in terms of graphics. As well, we've already seen massive amounts of gameplay enhancements, from a iceball throwing penguin to 4 destinct characters with their own controls and moves.
New Super Mario Bros DS was good, but the Wii game looks to be doing exactly what a console upgrade would do. And its not even out so let's not say it should have been on DS until we've played it.
