Well, I was hoping this thread to be a little more generalistic, as I was preparing a rant about these mini-cookies that they used to sell in Tescos, but how they disappeared and that the McVities ones just don't cut it.

Yes, but those don't cut it. They were like this white packet with purple and milk and cookies on the front. They were so tasty. The McVities ones are like dust the second you take the mout of the packet.
