Forums - Microsoft - I am quite dissapointed this year.

Splintercell is basically one of the very few Xbox 360 exclusives im intrested in (mass effect trilogy and left 4 dead series to)

all 3 games I thought were the best for Xbox 360 in 2009 haven't yet released.. they should make a great impression

Ofcourse if you have 300$ lying around somewhere that needs a spendin a PS3 would be a good purchase.

Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous

Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5,  Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.

2009 is a bad (or not so good =)) year for the 360. 2010 is going to better but I do hope there's a big new original AAA surprise for us in 2010; sequels are nice but I want something "fresh".
Microsoft indeed need to stop putting money in timed exclusives (both DLC and games) and produce/buy true exclusives for the console. I felt screwed by Microsoft with "exclusives" like Bioshock and Ninja Gaiden II (although Ninja Gaiden II wasn't a really big surprise).

Yeah i'm pretty picky when it comes to games.  I like epic single player games mostly since the only online game I deem worthy of playing is Halo 3 (which I spend the majority of my gaming time on)

And I don't Have GTA4 anymore so I could care less about the expansions.

If you like pretty epic single player games then you should definitely get Batman: AA, and maybe even Fallout 3 GOTY Edition.

wow...I completely disagree with the OP.

I loved Ninja Blade, Shadow complex is amazing and reviews show it, Halo Wars is a one of a kind experience on a console, ODST is the second best Halo single player campaign and one hell of a game...and we still have Forza 3, GTA Liberty Stories and LEft 4 Dead 2 as far as exclusives.

If you consider multi plats and 3rd party games...360 had one hell of a year.

And look at most of you...saying 360 is in trouble for exclusives compared to ps3. Thats hillarious considering 360 had superior lineups in 2006, 2007 and 2008...and by the looks of things 2010 will be a software spanking again considering 360 is getting Crackdown 2, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Halo Reach, Fable 3, Splinter Cell Conviction. All of which are going to be AAA or close to it...

PS3 had soe high end exclusives that took many years to develop coming out in 2009, and all of a sudden MS is in trouble? Give me a break...

Yea i'm with you 100% here, it's rare that i ever disagree with john's threads/post, but there's always a first i guess. I think all the games he mentioned (well besides Ninja Blade, since i havent played it) were great. Especially Halo Wars, i played the hell outta that game, and it felt so good on a console, seeing as how i grew up on RPG's, and Strategy games to get into gaming from PC, this was a huge surprise and success for my, menu's and gameplay were easy to navigate, and fun to play, and the story really set into motion the events of the following Halo games/books.

^ I agree on Fallout 3 GoTY Edition.

Excellent game if you haven't played it yet.

Also, regardless of what reviews say, I found Ninja Blade to be a lot of fun. Not much replay value, but a rental will give you a solid single player experience.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I get how you feel, I'm not feeling the drought yet though. This time last year the only games I had bought were GTAIV, Viva Pinata and Fable 2 (if it was out then) This year, Halo Wars, ODST and Prototype.

I bought about 5 games last christmas though, only 3 this year ..

I actually got each DLC pack for Fallout 3 right when they came out, I love that game (even though its been half a year and I still haven't beaten it)

So Batman: AA has a really good single player experience eh?  What is the game like (shooting, beat em up, stuff like that?)

what about Left 4 Dead 2?

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

^^Don't like L4D at all.

Beat em up,  puzzle solving, detective work.  Stuff like that.   All of the epic villians are there, and Batman has a bunch of reaaly cool gadgets.  And he is a badass in the game.  You have to play through some parts with stealth.   In others you have a choice, you can just run in and beat the crap outta people, or pick them off on at a time and watch the remaining guys start to shit themselves.
