I like your posts. I always agree with the stuff you say and shit. I remember once you posted a thread of some kids being taught to praise Obama, and I saw that shit and I was like wtf? Are we like the Middle East now or what?
Anyway, keep up the good work, we need more conservative posters to put users like Highway 101 in their place.

Ah just remember:
“Thinking isn't agreeing or disagreeing. That's voting.”- Robert Frost
We all need to make sure that we are truly assessing the matters at hand rather than simply finding comfort in something that is familar. Haha if we did that then we wouldn't be much better than the media eh.

| SimonSaysFYou said: I think this should satisfy everyone! And for once a Civil matter will be handled in a civil manner and the church and the people of the church would have no way to make legislation based on religious believes in order to discriminate against anyone! 1. Separation of Church and State. From now on any marriage performed by the church will not be recognized by the state unless it is officiated by a Justice of the Peace. This would mean if you were married by a church leader and not a JP your marriage is not recognized by the state and you get none of the legal benefits of Civil Marriage. *Church marriage will simply be a ceremony recognized by the church alone* 2. Since Marriage is a religious word all Civil Marriages will now be called Civil Unions. No one will be able to get "married" outside the church but then again the church marriage will have no benefits at all, so it doesn't really matter. 3. Civil Unions will be for any one, regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation between persons of consenting legal age. Now who could disagree with that? |
That's bullshit.
Keep marriages as they are now.
Give homosexuals some law form with tax benefits and inheritance similar to those of normal marriage.
PROUD MEMBER OF THE PSP RPG FAN CLUB
Support traditional marriage!
If gays were allowed to marry, it would harm straight peoples marriages.
If gays got married then... Marriages would be gay!
Them christians can't do anything that's gay! Their marriages will be ruined.

Thanks! I have gotten into Lord of the Rings Online, so my posts count has been way down of late, but I will be back :)
Even though I do like the idea of having everyone allowed to marry with the same "benefits" I still like the idea of separation. Such as you can still have religious marriages that follow by their own rules and simply aren't recognized by the state governments. Then of course have state recognized marriages which keep the Constitution at heart of couse. Don't think the government has the right to simply tell religions they can't hold marriages anymore... but as it should be just won't be recognized by the government.
Why do we even have marriage? Just repeal all marriage laws, then people can do what they want.
