@ article, and people who agree with this list.

The impression im getting is that... its impossible to have old franchises, and still be making new ones. Its not like the two are mutually exclusive. Both CAN co-exist, and that is what we are seeing. Yes companies are making sequels, and making games in old franchises but they are also making entirely new IP's! Why kill off all these franchises that are producing great games, seeling great, and therefore greatly benefiting the industry? How ridiculous.

If you dont like the series, dont buy the game! Its not like it will effect you in any way. If it still exists, then that means its still selling, which means a certain crowd is enjoying it. The idea of wanting to kill a franchise because YOU dont like it, as opposed to all these consumers who clearly do is stupidly selfish.

I actually agree with that list, mgs4 should have been the last in the series, but they keep on making spin-offs like peacewalker and rising. Chances of me buying ever either of them is really low, even though I'm a MGS-fan.

MGS should have died. Or at least the next game shouldn't have been made until the Gen 8. Give gamers a chance to actually crave for a new game. Honestly I was hoping for a Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 and MGS1 remakes more than any more "new" MGS games.

So everything Nintendo, Kojima etc has to do is switch characters and tweak the universe a little and everything is fine. Wow, that will save them some time and money!

Ha I just read the blurb for MGS and GTA, they want those franchises to die soely because they arn't exclusive.
