I'm playing Persona 3 FES for about 40 hours now and it never gets boring. Since Persona 4 shall be better then P3, you'll get addicted to it. Have fun and enjoy it ;3

You'll love this game if you are a JRPG or RPG lover in general ;)
My tips are as follows:
- Try to max out the social links when you can, especially go for Courage and knowledge level 4, since most social links will depend on those two.
- Prioritize Strenght Social Link, since you'll have a short window of opportunity to nail the moon social link, and it's dependent on Strenght too.
- Do the Justice and Hierophant social link when you can, they are the two most restricted social links in the game
- Save often, and i stress this, SAVE OFTEN, you don't want to do an entire month in the game just to find out you screwed up in a random day.

Also focus on the Main Party social links. They are going to be important in the upcoming battles

You're welcome, this is one of the best JRPG in the PS2 generation, so you'll have fun. I got mine for 30 euros too, and it was really worth it.
