Man I love how Esa-Petteri pretends to not know what trolling is. Sometimes I kinda want to believe him.

My list would be:

1) Too many FPS games, too much brown and gray and bloom.
2) Lack of innovation or even interesting art.
3) With that said... reviewers somehow giving more perfect scores this gen than any other, especially to crap like GTA4.
4) EA milking SimCity, the Sims, and Spore to death, scaring Will Wright away from his own company.
5) Developers wasting time over-analyzing this "strange new casual market" instead of realizing that 99% of gamers are, have always been, and always will be casual gamers. They should just shut up and make a bunch of games for everybody.

Great list.

If you don't mind, I'd like to borrow some for my list.

Go for it.  I couldn't limit myself to 5 games, so I took this as an opportunity to insult the entire industry 4 times, and EA once.

Crap, I forgot about Spore and the Sims 3.  -_-

Nice, Rubang! In regards to #5, how about New Super Spike V-Ball Wii? It would sell like hotcakes and I would school you!

My list would be.

1) The overall lack of platformers on all platforms.
2) The surge of Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and mediorce clones such as Rock Revolution and Ultimate Band.
3) The mainstream approval of downloadable content, either it's new maps, new songs, and new characters that should be included in the game.
4) The surge of first person and third person shooters. We have this great technology that produces realistic visuals yet consumers seem content with using it to display zombie, alien and nazi death animations.
5) The button abuse. Gamers seem to complain about "waggle fests" but it's counter-intuitive to have to use one of 16 buttons at any time in a game.

Pixel Art can be fun.

@ number 1.

Don't you mean quality platformers? We get what seems like a new platformer every month. Whether it is a  game based on a movie or the yearly releases of Spyro, Crash, and Sonic

I would be all over that game in a hot second.  They could throw in some more Kunio-Kun and Double Dragon characters, and new special moves, and it would be cheaper to develop than most games.  Why they haven't done this is beyond me.

i love RE 5, and Fable 2. Otherwise i agree with your list.

Mine are in no particular order

LittleBigPlanet - Wasn't very fun
Resistance 2- Again, not fun
Halo 3 - Fell way short and CoD4 dominated this in every aspect
Dead or Alive 4 - Didn't enjoy it as much as the others
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Got bored after a month versus 3 years of lovely Melee play.

I didn't think RE 5 or Fable 2 were bad just not what I was expecting, especially RE 5. On the other hand I haven't played RE 5 in co-op so I can't judge that aspect of it and welcome back.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
