The 40 gig PS3 is a much better deal. This has no wifi so what is the point in buying it? I know that not everyone cares about wifi but the majority of gamers do.

lol.....Good news!!!! They do have them in stock he said about 20 to 30 in stock, but I have to wait till I get my check next week....I don't have the money to spend on PS3 all right now. So next week its going to be bought or I can wait till November 2nd and get the 40GB..Either way I'm good....I was going to wait till FFXIII releases but that might be shorten to this holiday season. Cause I want to purchase the PS3 and the Wii. But the Wii is going to be held on shortages. So the PS3 is more then likely going to be the purchase.

It is very tempting indeed. If they would still have those SKU's on stock in stores then that would definetly give Microsoft a run for its money, but its short on stock now. Oh well, the 40GB looks extremely worthwhile. I have my PS2 hooked up so BC is no problem with me.

The friend codes bug the crap out of me. I've only traded mine with two people, and I won't be able to play either of them online until Brawl comes out (unless I get SMS).

For me, the Wii isn't for online stuff. It's all about offline multiplayer (SSB, Kart) and awesome singleplayer (Zelda, Mario), although I'll definately be playing Brawl and probably Mario Kart Wii online.

You are going to love it for blu-rays if not anything else. Best racing game on it is Formula 1 BY FAR, and if you are in to that genre, then it is a must buy in my book. Also, the ratchet and clank demo is incredible, not to mention I am in the process of downloading the GT Prologue demo, YESSSSSSSSSS!!

DP...by the way, you are the last person I thought would be purchasing a PS3, good to see that you enjoy video games at much as me, no matter what brand console they are on.  Wii is also going to be my next purchase, probably beginning 08, but you never know, my local gamestop had them in last time I was there. I am going to buy it for SMG and Mario Kart alone, just the thought of them brings back fond memories of my childhood!

Yeah makingmusic I agree. When I had the DS....Exchanging codes to play Pokemon online with others was rather annoying. So I really didn't like that feature at all. But Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii is whats really going to make Wii online something spectualar.
