More like 10-15$ more. Hes talking about pounds, not dollars.
@Kantor, you can buy it from some other site, lots of them have cheaper shipping at least.

No. I don't mean that at all.
Atlus are pretty much a gift to gamers. if you dont love atlus there is something wrong with you. They are bringing us games no one else would and not getting rich off of it.

No, no, and no. You're being stupid again, you're telling me that there's something wrong with me if I don't "love Atlus", for a start, how can I "love" them if they don't publish in the EU, that means I've never played their games, and most likely never will if they don't start releasing them over here... think before you type such a stupid post.

Huh? Atlus doesn't have a european branch. That doesn't mean you should not love them. Im talking about everyone who can get games from them. You can always import it for 6$.
I would be interested in this game, but since uncharted 2 will be avaiable on the 13th I have pushed back any other game available.
Because it isnt released in the UK
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Its not like the other RPGs really. The combat is entirely real time (Even Mass Effect and Fallout 3 had spell screens and VATS), so you can't pause the action ever. The melee is almost as deep as a fighting game (you have parry, riposte, block, light attack, heavy attack etc). Ranged attacks have target lock-on and actual aiming.
On top of that it is a full fledged RPG too.
Really playing this game, you get a feeling of playing an Action-RPG-Adventure-Survival Horror all rolled into one. And each individual aspect implemented brilliantly. This is one hell of a buy.
It is also a kind of game very suited to western audience. One of the reason why it was not so successful over in Japan.

It is better to die on one's feet
then live on one's knees
I am, imported as im in the UK. dam hard though. how many deaths can one man suffer.
assumption is the mother of all f**k ups
Don't have money. Don't have time. Don't have patience.
I do want to get it someday, though.

Its been very successful in Japan, 140k is great considering it's a new IP. It opened at what, 44k? To sell another 95k clearly it had some great legs and word of mouth. Of course, there's also the sales for the Chinese/English and Korean/English versions that we don't have any data for.
Just look at the top 5 Wii RPGs in Japan. All of them are from established franchises. DS would be #6 on that list if it were on the Wii, beating out many other games. That alone is pretty impressive.
Demon's Souls Official Thread | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka
very good points. I'd assume the game is at about 250k by now without american sales.
