My jaw nearly hit the floor.. I dont understand how I didn't like this game, its easily one of the best FPS's ive played *if not the best one* in my entire life time. The graphics are also interesting, believe it or not its actually got better graphics than most shooters released this gen, considering its a last generation PC game.. that says alot.  Half life 2 is a game I truely needed to experience, I was about to give up on first person shooters.  Its all the same, Resistance was my first FPS experience, and it was amazing, ever since COD4 released it seems like every FPS is immitating COD, MAG, R2, and ..... are just some examples. We need for FPS' like HL2, the funny thing is ive yet to even start the other two episodes, and yes im playing the PS3 version, its not as bad as people say.. although the loading times are a bother at times.

You should try the PC maxed out.

I myself have never seen the PS3 version with my own eyes but i can tell you that PC version look a lot better then many FPS this gen.

I would if my PC was even close to being able to play it.. and yes based on what ive seen from the ps3 version, its a better looking game than most fps' this generation.. its not too far from KZ2 either..

And BTW the PS3 version is really not that bad (I compare it to the PC version) but FPS are meant to be played on PC. It's just more fluid and the controls are more intuitive.

Do you need to play part 1 to enjoy?

I played the O-Box on my 360 and it absolutely rocked. Team fortress, portal, and the HL2 episodes were also good. Everything was good! Episode 2 leaves a cliffhanger though (as do the others)

The is something about the non blue looking water that i love. You got to the part where the things jump from underground out of nowhere when you are at the place with that green water stuff when you have to go on the speed boat.

Shit always makes my jump when things just pop out.

Oh you might think the game is good aswell because most FPS are like gloomy warzones, grey dark scenes. Whilst this game looks "natural"
