Not so much Britain, as far as I'm aware I'm the only one I know who's circumsized, and that was for medical reasons.

Circumcisions really aren't a common thing here in Britain. In fact I don't know anyone who has had one. I think it's an American thing.

Probably real penises.  Millions of years of evolution have decided that elephant trunks and penises would do well to have the same design to protect the delicate and sensitive innards.  Only humans are weird enough to decide that they're born wrong and need to chop up their dicks to be cool.

Well now that you mention it, what is the point of the foreskin and why do people feel so torn between cutting it and keeping it. I would say it's proof of evolution, what're your thoughts?

You don't think so? In that case, is there a noun you feel more representative of you than "a person with Asperger's Syndrome"? That description still implies some degree of separation.

There are plenty of people for whom autism is debilitating and doesn't allow them to lead anything near a normal life. It's their decision whether they would accept a cure. But not everyone with autism wants such a thing or believes it would improve their lives. I'm not against people wanting to end suffering due to autistic traits, I just don't want everyone believing autism = bad.

It's not a case of wanting things to be normal.... or it might be ... I'm not totally sure my self. I know growing up I had a good friend who had autism and it was debilitating. It just makes me sad knowing that he will always have to be with his mother and he will never be able to be his own person. What really makes me angry is when people look down on people with autism... You hear about educators hitting the special education children. I remember when I was in third grade. I got in trouble and as punishment i was sent to the Special education class. With the autistic children and the other kids with learning disabilities. Kids with debilitating autism or any sort of retardation have it so bad and they say the "closer to the end" you get with autism the smarter you are. So by no means are these kids "retarded" they know whats going on. 

 

So to YOU it isn't a big deal because you can really use a computer and most likely drive a car... My friend will never do these things. he will never be able to dress himself. He will never leave his mothers side. So these are things to you that your ok with it because you can still fit in with main stream people. Some of these kids never will.
