2.AUTISM

As a person with Asperger's Syndrome I can assure you I would not like to be 'cured' of autism. You cannot separate me from my condition.

You don't think so? In that case, is there a noun you feel more representative of you than "a person with Asperger's Syndrome"? That description still implies some degree of separation.

who the fuck is Jason Stratham?

The bald guy in Snatch. Americans don't get him, we Brits do, it's really odd.

Do you mean Stathem, like the guy in Trasporter and Crank? Because I like him.

I use the description only to indicate some of the difficulties I might have or to explain the cause of some of my actions. If you changed my personality and reactions to things with drugs or therapy then I wouldn't be me any more.

I think everyone is somewhere on the autistic spectrum, and I just happen to be further towards one end - Have you met anyone completely normal?

There are plenty of people for whom autism is debilitating and doesn't allow them to lead anything near a normal life. It's their decision whether they would accept a cure. But not everyone with autism wants such a thing or believes it would improve their lives. I'm not against people wanting to end suffering due to autistic traits, I just don't want everyone believing autism = bad.

That is very fair. I have little experience with autism myself, and in either case am not in a position to pass judgment on whether or not it can be construed as beneficial in some cases.

Just because you posted #1 on my facebook page doesn't make it true. Birmingham is not in the North of England lol.

List #3:

1. PS3 annoyances (mandatory installs, long ass firmware updates, no cross game chat)
2. 360's Fisher price quality hardware. Please make your next console reliable.
3. Wii's motion controls. Yeah I said it, I'm not a fan of motion controls at all.
4. PC's mandatory installs of EVERY game and viruses. How come nobody ever mentions that the PC has had mandatory installs since...ever?
5. Apple iPhone. Its 1/8 as good as the PSP and 1/5 as good as the DS
