Enlighten me? You thought CGI ect, were voting it low because they're sony fans, but I can fully understand why they didn't give it a 9 or 10.

People suspected of voting down a game shall hence forth be subjected to a quiz on the game with questions asked that only somebody that has played the game would know!

As I said, maybe 8-something is the most fair score to Halo 3, but why the discrepancy between Xbox fans voting 9.5 on average and Sony fans 8.3?

If Sony fans are giving all their own games 9.5's and X360 games 8.5s theres something wrong, even if it's not blatant bashing or 'dud' by any means.

It's immature of CGI to accuse others of downplaying Sony (me) and not admitting he does the same to X360 all the time (he is just very sophisticated in his techniques). Or u think it's a coincidence he speaks highly of every Sony game, giving them 9's, while X360 games are getting 8-something?

If it were another game I thought highly of, I would probably be agreeing with you. Halo 3 IS a 9.x+ title, but it got 8.5 from me because I didn't even touch the multiplayer.

i'll just say one thing, it happens almost everywhere where their are user reviews/ratings, other places are easier to spot too. again, just read at least some of the thread, you'll get what i'm trying to say :)

The only quality that matters about a game is it's ability to entertain me. If I'm not entertained by it I'm not gonna score it that high.

Besides I find bad reviews more helpful than good ones. For instance if I'm looking to buy a digital camera the first thing I do after finding that interests me is see how many bad reviews there are compared to good ones and why they rated it low. If a large percent of them complain about a specific problem then I can get a rough idea on failure rates and in some cases customer service.
