Forums - Gaming - Why is there no games based on World war 1?

I've always wondered why there aint no games based on Ww1? I think that it would be interesting to play as either factions during the time, and fight in trenches and mud.

I mean the industry is full with games based on Ww2 (Not a bad thing imo)

What are your thoughts?

Hmm.. interesting never heard of a single one before...

Trench shootout w/artillery backup ---> rush at enemy trenches ----> repeat

not very interesting, if you ask moi.

Because most people wouldn't even know who fought WWI, there's not as convenient an evil side, and the weapons took more time to reload than many gamers' attention span :)

It would be nice to have a Call of Duty game set in WWI.

I agree

You said it yourself. Trenches and mud.

Now, WWI wasn't all trenches and mud. That was pretty much restricted to the Western front. You could do something related to the Ottoman campaigns, the Eastern Front, and the mires in the Balkans and Italy.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

USA was not involved like in WWII. It was a war based on one front, A game like Valkyria Chronicles would be the best gameplay for a WWI game in my opinion.
