I don't see much of a reason for them to go HD, except that the PS2 market is dying and they may not find their market on Wii (they should try!). "Finally" is definitely not the word I'd use here.

development time has nothing to do with the quality of the game. Uncharted 2 is a perfect example of this. 1 year for the generations current best game. |
First of all, I just said that many games with lower development times are often times better than games with bigger budget/longer development times. Second of all, its your opinion if a certain game is the 'best game os this generation'. And there's a reason sequels of games take less time to develop.
Let's hope it's for Persona 5 for PS3.

Yeah, i'd figure they'd try it on PSP or Wii before making that jump. Not like Persona is the kind of game that really benefits from zomg production values, like FF.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
That application has been up for months. I'm hoping for another game like Nocturne on the HD consoles.
I pray Persona 5 is exclusive to the PS3. It would make no financial sense to make it multiplat as the 360 support in Japan is rather scarce and they might not find their market with the Wii .....just saying

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Persona 3 sold better in America then it did in JApan. Persone 4 sold better in Japan though. It seems they make quite a bit of money in American sales. Ignoring the 360 would be idiotic. Infact I could see Microsoft buying the exclusitivity rights to this game. Plus the Xbox is a lot easier to develop for and the games on it do not get attacked as much if they don't have super nice graphics

No That Would be Idiotic. The game is already very niche and findin support in Japan is exactly what it needs. Isolating it would do more harm then good to the series
