HAHA, I watched the video on the gamepolitics site....they were saying "Nintendo says you can communicate up to 65 feet...but thats now what we found...we took it to a shopping mall and were able to send messages into the building from over 300 ft away!" How is that a bad thing lmao?

At least the video concludes that parents need to talk to their children about this stuff, and I think parents should be warned about this and they should let their kids know what to do if they are contacted by someone they don't know. But telling people to snap it in half is just stupid...are we going to coat our children in rubber and plastic and not let them play outside also? Gimme a break...

Quite clearly the next step in making the world safe for our children is banning adults. Most people don't realise that all yes 100% of convicted pedophiles are legal adults, doesn't this tell you that this social group is a danger to children?

I think the easiest solution is the incarceration of all legal adults, child molestation would drop instantly.

Fox News sells ratings on fear. This is nothing new, in fact I don't think a day goes by when fox isn't in an uproar about something sexual. OMG a judge only gave this guy 10 years call your senator.
Just a quick clarification here - every major news outlet sells ratings on fear. That's why I prefer to watch none of them.

And final-fan -- "Fox news is all about helping the Republicans rule with an iron fist."

Do you honestly believe that??

I am willing to admit that that is a pretty big exaggeration, but they do report the news in such a way as to benefit conservatives and it is on purpose.

Does this mean you have no objection to the other statements I made in that post?

Also, here's a webpage lampooning some racist jackass with a show on Fox News. Now, I'm not trying to claim that Fox News has a racist agenda or that very many people are racist on Fox News, but this is an example of the kind of jokers they put on the air. This guy is representative of that, not in his particular bias but in that that bias is extreme and it is allowed to color their reporting.

To be honest Nintendo should request any information on any cases where the DS has actually been used to malest any children. Then when no evidance is actually given they have a massive legal advantage to shut him up. Fraudulent claims like that are illegal and with no evidence that the DS is being used by molesters Nintendo has every right to sue him for all he's worth and put an end to the crap he has been saying.

That being said pointing out he's an Evangelical Christian is unnesscessary. I found that pretty provocative. Religion has nothing to do with whet he is saying and his faith shouldn't come into it at all. Saying such stuff can only be used to promote hate towards other beliefs and to be honest he doesn't speak for Christians and he doesn't speak for God so he can shove it and you should be ashamed for making a link.

Fox should be sued for damaging Nintendo's character. Their are many legal actions Nintendo could and should take. Their are so many safeguards on the DS and Wii that it would be virtually impossible for a molester to get their hands on a kid. I had heard of one case in the US in which a girl with her mom supposedly had a guy Pictochat her some questionable images.

But the first thing I have to ask, what are the chances that the girl is running pictochat when the pedophile wants? What good does not having a DS do if the pedophile has to be within feet of your kid to pictochat them?

In short major legal action should be taken against Fox and those who have made these fraudulent claims. Nintendo should for their part do more to create product awareness advertising more on parent television programs to relieve any fear of such things. Nintendo should clear the air sending a rep to Opera or Doctor Phil or one of those other programs that older people like to watch alot.

It is partially Nintendo's fault for not addressing this problem along time ago. They should have taken legal action against ABC back when they reported the first story and blew it out of porportion. Then Nintendo should have cleared the air through Oprah or Doctor Phil or another program along time ago instead of allowing such extremist morons to pollute the minds of consumers everywhere!
