Like many people said, if you have to buy the psp, choose the 3000...if you only like retrogame probably Wii is not enough, but i can't imagine one person who dislikes Mario Galaxy or Zelda...i'm not including haters :)

As a Sony rep: Go for the Go. Its stylish and portable with tons of great new games coming. Since you have a PS3 it'd work great with connectivity feature.
As a Nintendo rep: ...New Super Mario Bros. Wii ....nuff said XD

If he owned a GC last gen good chances are he played those games. If he owned a Ps2 or BC Ps3 good chance he played RE4... seriously... out of all the games on the wii you could have chosen you picked the worst ones.
Final Fantasy Crisis Core. God of War Chains of Olympus. Dissidia Final Fantasy. Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. Jeanne D'arc. Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories. Patapon. Daxter.
I think a lot of these surpass RE4 and SMG. I never played Metroid on Wii so I wouldn't know about that. But I do like Zelda.
There's nothing on that list that surpasses SMG or Metroid Prime Trilogy or Zelda, not even close.
PSP games are good, but honestly you're not likely to get as good of an experience as a console. The PSP Metal Gear games are not as good as the console ones. God of War is better on the PS2 than the PSP. Ditto for Grand Theft Auto. Gran Turismo on PSP is another example.
Developers can make pretty good PSP games, but really no one is going to spend as much time/effort on a PSP project as they would on a console game.
If you're making a decision based on actual game quality, then its got to be Wii IMO. The fact the PSP is $50 more than the Wii with Wii Sports included doesn't really help its case either.

Your opinion and you would be in a very, very, very small minority.
SMG's Game Rankings score speaks for itself ... it is the highest rated game of this generation (that includes all PS3 and 360 games, let alone PSP) by game critics.
I thought about the Wii, but many people who I know that own the Wii rarely play it. Might just be the people that I know. Hum, guess that I'll probly buy the 3000. Tough call. Thanks for the help.

Doesn't matter. You stated your opinion as fact I did the same
That's fine. Again, very small minority to be in there.
