Uncharted, GT Prologue, Haze are all huge games.
Your opinion may dictate the fact that these are all huge exclusives. But the fact of the matter is - They all are.

I forgot about Haze, that's a good title. As for GT: Prologue... isn't that supposed to be sort of an uber-demo rather than a full game?
Well, he asked for one, I gave him one. I personally wouldn't count GT Prologue. I know a lot of GT freaks will pick it up but when there's an actual full game coming next year, I just can't justify counting a 'prologue'.
The two really interesting PS3 exclusives left for the year after Ratchet include Uncharted and Haze. Of course, the 360 also only seems to have two interesting exclusives left this year: Mass Effect and Ace Combat 6. All of the other interesting games on the two platforms are multi-platform, like Assassin's Creed.

Even if he's including copies still on the shelves (i.e.; shipped instead of sold), VG Chartz' numbers just don't add up. Edit: Looking back at my post, it seems I exaggerated a bit by claiming "upwards of 1 million per title"... the figures seem to be off by an average of 875k per title.

Link? Also, are you sure they really said PS2 and it wasn't overall?

Brian Allegier states, very clearly on two separate occasions, that the PS2 titles sold 13 million combined in this 'podcast' (can something with video be called a podcast?) with "Mercury News gaming writers Dean Takahashi and Mike Antonucci" at this link: http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2007/10/video_dean_and_nooch_talk_about_ratchet_and_clank_with_sonys_brian_allegier.html
On this gametrailers clip, a rep also states that the Ratchet and Clank games have sold 13 million copies, though he doesn't specify PS2-only (though as far as I can tell, sales of Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters have not been that impressive so I'm not sure how much of a difference they would make even if they were included): http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25173.html
So, there's two sources.

Does it matter? Ratchet and Clank only came out for PS2 and recently for PSP.

Actually there were a couple Cell Phone games as well. Throw those in their and how big the Cellphone game market apparently is and I think that likely gets you pretty close to your 13 million. Though grante dhe does say 13 million for the PS2 series in the interview with the two annoying guys.

yes Ratchet is a niche game.
yes the PS3 is still too expensive.
but considering the lack of game on the console until now, I think that some people will buy this game and it will sell better than HS du to his good review.
is it not the best game on PS3 if you refer to review score ?
is it not the bes visual game on PS3 ?
is the PS3 not laking of game right now ?
I think the context will help the game but I dont expect HUGE sales : 1M total copy for example ?
Time to Work !
Can't be a good sign this game hasn't made top 20 on Amazon. Even HS and Lair managed to make top 10 on opening day. I'm not sure if it's lack of advertising or changing release dates that is hurting sales, perhaps both.
