Good interview.
Could this piece of article be useful in the methodology section ( or a section used to explain origin of VGC datas ) ?
Ioi, what do you think about it ?

Wow, fantastic interview, very well done!

I didn't realize that you had developer and industry contacts like that, good to hear and the fact that you are receiving attention from these guys seems to indicate to me that they are interested in helping you achieve a higher degree of accuracy in hopes of some day dumping the need to pay for NPD numbers =)

Gotta love that last neutral answer at the end. Well done!

Haha, I loved that.  However, he clearly showed a preference towards consoles over handhelds (2 consoles games, 1 handheld).  ZOMG, Ioi is biased!!

I'm sorry but I can't believe that companies are using VGChartz data to make decisions... sorry but they'd all subscribe to data tracking firms for the more accurate figures...

Obviously if the figures on VGChartz are accurate then it's the same thing as using VGChartz data... but sorry if a multinational corporation was justifying a 'multiplatform' decision on VGChartz data... well sorry I just can't believe that.

I don't bag out this site at all, in fact I'm an avid member and have been for a long time, but sorry I can't believe that.

And the representatives of companies that have signed up here and post here - have they been requested as so by their companies or do they do it 'under the radar' i think most companies have policies against their employee's doing that.

@OriGin,

If you were a company, and you could use this site for free, on top of using NPD for whatever price, wouldn't you use both. You could use this as a preview to your NPD data that hasn't come in yet. It really isn't that far fetched at all that companies would look at this site.

I don't think that data like NPD is presented to companies the same way that it is given to the press and public...

They get detailed data for all products on a weekly basis.

It's as far fetched as pigs flying to me.
