Forums - General - SAW VI? ... What the...

How has this sick and disturbing franchise gotton this far?? when shows like even Star Wars or Marvel movies like X men took awhile to get to 3 (not counting spiderman or Origins wolvirine...)

So... has there been any movie franchise reach this far this quick in movie history!?

dunno...Elm Street? Friday the 13th?

I didn't even know they'd made a SAW4

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

There will be 10 Saws. The guy has a contract. 1 per year.

I coulda sworn they said after the first one did so well that he signed a contract for 10... hm... maybe it was 5...

I remember hearing the same about Saw 4 and 5...

It's Metal Gear Solid 2/3/4 all over again...

4 ≈ One

Saw was good, Saw II wasn't bad, and then they just kept going downhill.  Each one kept going back and injecting itself into the previous movies and just made a mess of things.

Saw V was a confusing mess (a lot of that due to two of the main guys looking almost exactly alike) and I imagine Saw VI will have any more confusion so that it can try to cram all the events that happen in Saw VI so they interweave with the events of Saw I-V (what's the called again, metastory? Something like that).

I'm not really expecting anything from it though I'll Netflix it eventually.

There's a new one every year around Halloween. They keep making money, so why stop?

While I don't like them myself, I'm kind of glad to see another continuing horror franchise.

Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th. These series ranged from great to worse than Saw, but I don't begrudge their existence.

What I really wish for is that amazingly awesome horror movies like Drag Me To Hell and Slither were more successful.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I *loved* Drag Me To Hell and up until a minute or two before the big reveal at the ending, it actually caught me by surprise.  I was sitting there trying to figure out why a movie like that would end all nice and happy and right as I catch on they start revealing the twist.
