Was that really called for? It was condecending, and quite hypocritical. You call me biased, yet the only evidence behind such a claim is the PS3 tag in my sig, thus revealing your own personal biases.
I assumed that Sony paid for timed exclusivity because of the way they so proudly announced "UT3 PS3 Exclusive in '07!" back at E3, quite similar to the way MS announced GTAIV coming to the 360. Also, considering the rumors of an exclusive deal between Sony and Epic for an unknown IP prior to E3, I came to the conclusion that Sony paid for the timed exclusivity of UT3. It was possibly a provision in their agreement to assist Epic in getting UE 3.0 running smoothly on ps3 hardware.
And yes, it does work both ways, but I'll trust the developer of the game over the publisher. The developer creates the game itself, and knows how close it is to completion. The publisher just prints and sells the game.

I don't understand, as typically, wouldn't paying for exclusivity be looked down upon, and as he's claiming you to be a Sony fanboy, wouldn't that sort of be contradictory?
And the "I assumed" is really key there. He's right that you should be more careful separtating conclusions you drew based on facts and actual facts.
Developers and Publishers can both have control over when a game comes out. Even if a game is finished, a Publisher might wait to print and distribute it for strategic reasons.

Prediction: God of War will go to 2009... Gears Of War 2 will stay in 2008... I Think Nov/Dec 2008. It'll be good... But graphically almost identical (A little more polygons and better textures overall, you won't notice the difference that much) As i said, it'll be good... But not mindblowing as the 1st one was!

GoW3 will go to ps3, and GeoW2 will go to 360. I suppose my wording was a bit confusing. I'll edit the OP.
I have played neither of them well I have played Gears of War a bit and I have heard that the first God of War was exellent It will be intresting if both are hitting in the same month saleswise
