Was that really called for? It was condecending, and quite hypocritical. You call me biased, yet the only evidence behind such a claim is the PS3 tag in my sig, thus revealing your own personal biases.
I assumed that Sony paid for timed exclusivity because of the way they so proudly announced "UT3 PS3 Exclusive in '07!" back at E3, quite similar to the way MS announced GTAIV coming to the 360. Also, considering the rumors of an exclusive deal between Sony and Epic for an unknown IP prior to E3, I came to the conclusion that Sony paid for the timed exclusivity of UT3. It was possibly a provision in their agreement to assist Epic in getting UE 3.0 running smoothly on ps3 hardware.
And yes, it does work both ways, but I'll trust the developer of the game over the publisher. The developer creates the game itself, and knows how close it is to completion. The publisher just prints and sells the game.
