How high do you reckon it will go?
Think it has made money on that massive budget yet?
When do you think we'll see a sequel?

You missed question 0
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
I say it can get to 2.3-2.5M
Either broken even or slight profit made.
Early 2012 is my guess.
4 ≈ One
As to question 2: don't know for sure if it's profitable yet, some say yes but at any rate they built a pretty damn good engine during the development of KZ2 that can (and probably is) being used by Guerilla in subsequent games. And at least some of the resources can be useful to other Sony studios.
So if the game is currently profitable including the cost of engine development, pretty sweet, b/c KZ3 will cost a ton less and the engine helps subsequent projects inside and outside Guerilla a lot.
1. Well I would bet it makes it to 2.5-2.75 million before sales stop
2. Well 2 million x $60 = $120 million in revenue so I think its making profit now.
3. Early-Mid 2011. It won't take nearly as long since I imagine they'll use the same engine.
Also I bet Killzone 3 will not only sell better then Killzone 2, but it will have a WAYYYYY lower budget so I expect more profit.
How high do you reckon it will go?
Approx 3 million, its still selling ok at 30-40k per week and hasn't had an xmas yet.
Think it has made money on that massive budget yet?
No and not sure it will directly. It has been given away from day 1 in bundles and is a platinum hit sold at a significant discount in PAL regions.
When do you think we'll see a sequel?
If they are smart then they'll be offsetting the investment of building the engine by getting a new game out for Xmas 2010. The engine is a sunk cost now, so if we (I) argue that Killzone 2 has (so far) run at a loss, then KZ3 should automatically get a head start and should be much more profitable.
Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Great that it is nearing 2 million sales. Quite an accomplishment for the title.
As for future sales, it has to get over that hump of Modern Warfare 2. If it isn't completely overshadowed by the property, then this game has a great chance of getting into the 2.5-3.0 million range as it could be seen as a definite PS3 title to own. But it just needs to make sure this holiday season that Modern Warfare 2 doesn't steal all of it's holiday selling abilities.
Sony may well make it a greatest hits title and lower the price before the holiday period really starts...if not, they are choosing lower unit sales but larger profit margins, and counting on the holiday boost to move a good number of copies.
This game got to 2 million with the worst Ad campaign I have ever seen since Dreamcast, Killzone 3 will take less time to make, and the budget for it will be lower too, so im guessing that Killzone 3 will come out christmas of 2011 and will sell around 5 million (remember PS3 userbase will grow tremendously).
