So which game do you think will sell more overall?  Both games release around the same time.

First Uncharted did 2.58 million, while the first Mario and Sonic did 7.16 on Wii and 4.43 on the DS.

My guess is that Mario and Sonic does better overall, Uncharted may possibly have better initial sales, but M&S will have better legs



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Of course Mario and Sonic will sell more. No doubt it. Quality is different question.

M&S surely...the first one is still seling! I can't see it under 5 millions.

You mean besides the Wii sales dominating the competition once again lol, no I've got plenty to keep me happy, I'm just curious about how its going to play out over the next few weeks until NSMB Wii releases (after it does, Wii sales will just run away with the holidays, no competition, but that's still a couple of months off)

Next couple weeks? Why don't you ask about Modern Warfare 2  (360) or AC2 then? Nope dear friend you are not happy. You are sad Wii fanboy. Sorry... lol

You're joking, right? It didn't have the legs Mario and Sonic enjoyed but no game that sells 130k first week and 2.6 million to date is front loaded. It started off slowly and sold steadily for a long time (it was recently in the worldwide top 50).

Anyway, Mario and Sonic will sell more. You know it will. Will me telling you help you sleep at night?

Well I know it will, but I'm biased, so I wanted other people's views on it people who aren't necessarily Nintendo fans, also I wanted to get some discussion going because I was bored

Next couple weeks? Why don't you ask about Modern Warfare 2 (360) or AC2 then?

Simple, Modern Warfare and Assasin's creed 2 are releasing in November, around the same time as NSMB Wii, it's pretty obvious that NSMB Wii will be a 10 million + seller, so its not even worth discussing
