Okay so 5 weeks ago my PS3 got the feared YLOD, yesterday, it broke again.. now its not reading discs.. just 2.5 weeks after I got it back from Sony.. O.o

Sony will repair it for free AGAIN, but I am seeing if the Retail store will switch it for a entirely new model (refurbished PS3s suck + 120GB HDD :D)

I have to give a compliment that they repair PS3s out of warranty, they helped my mate who had a PS3 for over 2.5 years with a broken PS3 for free.. mine is about 20 months old.. so thats 1.66 years

disc driver failed?? you should sell it when it gets back and buy a new one.

if it won't work then that is not a bad idea :P

Had mine go YLOD on me but I said screw it. I don't want to wait for Sony to fix it, so I fixed it myself. Surprisingly easy everything was slotted out where it was supposed to go took me 20 mins to dismantle and then reassemble without any prior knowledge
