Forums - Microsoft - NFS Shift or Forza3? Need help deciding

Forza 3 please. We need another sale.

I'd pick up NFS: Shift myself.. It seems to have a better sense of speed (this is purely from the videos I've seen) and an overall more immersive feeling of being in control of a car at speed. It will also be a little easier on you control wise as it isn't a full on simulation title.

I agree that GRID is a FANTASTIC game start to finish, I played that game for months without ever taking the disc out of my 360, that is how good the game is, love it love it love it! online is amazing too and is still very busy online, just make sure you go into rooms that have decent players!

GRID is my personal favourite racer on the 360 and I agree that shift has tried to copy a few things but they failed on every one to be honest.

Do you even have a choice?

Honestly puffy, the videos for shift make you think the game is going to be fantastic but in reality it isn't, if the game was like the videos it would have been a very good game but its not, just the control/handling spoils the whole game,

Shift is also FULL of bugs:

Skip to 2:45 seconds on this video:

Car stuck after crashing:

Graphics problem (PC but reported on PS3 and 360 too):

Driving straight through other cars:

This happens a LOT, cars bouncing for no reason:

If you go over to the EA Need For Speed: Shift forum it is FULL of posts and topics about all the different bugs in the game, the car bouncing bug is very common, seems to happen to everyone offline and online, I personally think this game was rushed out before it was ready, when playing it I get the feeling that it has been rushed just to be released before Forza 3, what do you think?

Is that kind of bug common? I noticed he did something in the menu screen before the race.

I haven't tried the game as I said and so maybe I am wrong there. What exactly is wrong with the handling?

Yeah, he was adjusting the difficuity by the looks of it, this problem has been reported on 360, ps3 and pc, something to do with the bumps in the road and physics object detection going crazy lol

To be honest, the choice is your's. My personal opinion is they are the same, but i know that Forza 3 has more cars/tracks, so do some investigating and decide the one you want.

What the!!! That video was crazy. I expected an invisible wall or a car crash outta nowhere, but seeing the car do that had me loking at this laptop wrong lol. Also to point out something, has anyone seen the new trailer of Shift on tv? the one that says Actual gameplay footage on it. Cause it kind of seems to me that the actual game isnt as real as the trailer

Mate, go watch the IGN review ;)
