Forums - Sony - To all ps3 owners a question............................

There's only a few movies I get on blu-ray. Honestly the increase in quality just isn't commensurate to the increase in price. When I'm watching a movie in blu-ray I think "wow, I can see every last pore in her face" for about five minutes and then go back to watching the movie.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I only own the 5 free blu-ray movies that came with my original ps3 They are still sealed

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

What are your thoughts on Blu ray? What's your fav Blu ray movie? Any movie you're anticipating for Blu ray?

=================================================================

Im not really fussed about Blu Ray. Here in the UK it has little awareness in the mainstream media.
Most people dont know what it is unlike DVD.

I think in the future once they get costs down Blu Ray will blossom a little more. At the moment every store I shop in has a tiny BLu RAy section with discs at least twice the price of the DVD equivalent.

Give it 3 more years and I think it may make some more strides.

Blu rays are too expensive right now. They are indeed great but with their price so high and dvd's price goin down due to blu rays i own more dvd's. You can buy 2-5 dvd's(depending on the movie) for every 1 blu ray

I own 15 but its hard to find the money for them now with so many amazing games releasing. I still need to get watchmen

I have around 5 blu-rays but luckily my friends are avid supporters so I just borrow from them.

Bagenome:You can't shoot things on a blog, and babies can't read, so I don't think it would suit either one's target audience."

Honestly, do JRPG makers even realize how hard it is to save the world? That shit is impossible!

I only have used my PS3 for gaming at the moment, usually watch movies on my laptop and dvd player.

I only occasionally rent.

Still using my pc for the majority of the stuff I watch (I did use the PS3 media server for a while but went back to good old DVI->HDMI + Zoom Player that gives a lot more control).

Very handy, Blu-Ray movie picture and sound quality is great.

Usually much better bitrate quality than online (and without the extra fuss) and even HD television channels!

Just rented Angels & Demons on Blu-ray, which I am about to watch together with my girlfriend using my PS3 in FullHD!

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

I bought Watchmen (Director's Cut) in Blu-ray, also Star Wars The Clone Wars. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, which I like was given to me as a gift.

The others I have like Species, Full Metal Jacket, Stir of Echoes, Spiderman 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean were all free with the console on a mail-in rebate.

I tend to watch movies as Netflix rentals or Itunes rentals. I buy films very rarely and with the cost of a Blu-ray movie I'm even less likely to these days.
