Forums - Sales - Does Nintendo think Wii's cut isn't giving the desired result?

Nintendo also doesn't push things right away, they tend to sell things and features already available. It's one of the reasons why there games may not launch big but have long legs, and why this price cut will have less of a peak than other console price drops.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Nintendo doesn't strike me as the kind of company that would want to evaluate a price cut after a few days. They will likely not be evaluating the cut till after the holidays.

Obviously on the internet we all want results NOW, but that just isn't a smart way to run a business.

Knowing the trend for Nintendo products, I wouldn;t be surprised if week 2 > week 1.

A new sweet spot has been reached, and sales will be good for quite a long time, but maybe Nintendo wishes to maximize the first spike advertising even every little further discount made by resellers, as a bigger HW base before Xmas means more Xmas SW sales, it's all grist to its mill.

@Rol joking about Amazon's 3 cents discounts:
Just been at a mall, and guess what? While Coop is doing a 99 cent discount on the new price, Gamestop Italy is doing a 1 cent one! Looks like sometimes reality exceeds jokes...
