The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

Well since MS owns Rare now, they'd have to pull a Nintendo and send out free wrist straps to 360 owners specifically for Battletoads 3 As my list, you guys have already hit on some good ones but will throw in a few more.

Breath of Fire - Lair wasn't enough Dragons, nor was it a RPG, and nor was anyone named Nina. Also didn't have endless sandsea to explore. Maybe that was a good thing.
Super Punch-out - Don't quit Little Mac! Aww, he retired.
Lufia - Alright, we know the Spoiler is the same in every game, but that doesn't change the fact the series is fun.
Lunar, Silver Star Story - "Umm, aren't those a little too big?" Also, collecting dragon poop for fun and profit.
