For a long time, I only used avatars with images from Cyanide & Happiness, because they were funny. So a big no. And I never changed my avatar because I was slightly hyped for some game. Now I am switching avatars weekly to promote Guild Wars 2, which should tell you something about how hyped for it I am. But still no allegiance in my avatar (other than to GW2, which will be awesome!)
Don't think so. My avatar is Ryudo, main character of Grandia 2, which is available on PS2, DC and PC.

You could assume I'm a PS3 fanboy by looking at it (and my username) but I own a 360 and DS along with PS3 + PSP. I just have a thing about having Sony execs in my avatars/sigs.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6). This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
