Dempsey and Park are actually very good players. Park is a hustler who creates space for his team mates, he just lacks the art of shooting on net.

Also the term football is the more proper term. The only countries that use the term soccer is Canada, USA and sometimes Australia. If you go to Australia and go to a football match you wll end up at an Australan RULES football match. I try to say football all the time but living in Canada makes you say soccer..

No.  Football isn't the more correct term.  It may be used everywhere, however football refers to many different games.

Just as it's "Austrlian Rules football."  "Footballs" real name is "assosiation League soccer" or "Soccer Football".

Calling it football is like calling the United States America... America (which most people actually also do). or a Square a Rectangle.

A rectangle sure is a square... and most people can call it a rectangle if they want.  However Square is the more correct term.

whats soccer? ;)

OH football

You do know that Soccer is actually the more correct term right?

Football is actually a bastardization.

Soccer as a term started in England actually and stands for Assosiation League Football (Also known as Soccer football) to tell it apart from the many other types of football that exist.  For example Rugby Football.

Calling the sport Football is like reffering to the United States of America just as America.

People generally understand what your saying... however some might since you are using a broad term for your sport.

While if you use Soccer.  It's like using "United States".  Everyone knows what your talking about and there is no confusion.

You know.  Just some useful knowledge.

well. here in latinoamerica. we called it football. always. we never called it soccer... never. i wouldnt called it a "bastardization", is just another way to say it.

well call it futbol, actually soccer doesn't even exist.

only US people call them that way.

i also refuse to call gringos, americans,  it's not like they have exclusivity on the continent.

And Soccer doesn't hold exclusivity to football.

Hence why you know.  It's funny how you're using the term incorrectly.

Soccer DOES exist and is the more proper term... for the reason you just stated and why you refuse to call people from the USA "Americans."

To refuse to call people from the US Americans and yet call Soccer Football... you are being a hypocrit.

well i think is about culture. we called it football. is not like we are insulting the sport. is just how we called it thats all. and i think is more the people that called it football than the ones that called it soccer jajajaja!!. i honestly dont know wich is the proper term. we just called it another way, is not like we are disrespecting this sport, we dont called it football for that intention. but hey FIFA means Fédération Internationale de Football Association. and FA wich was created in 1863 (the most ancient football association) means Football Association.

Everyone needs to calm down. Football and soccer are both correct terms, being derived from the more formal association football. Some countries use football, some soccer, some other words. It's really not a big deal and I don't know why people get so upset about it.
