Well that at least bumps it up to a rental for me. I didn't care much for the first one, but this one looks like it improves it at least a good bit. I played the multiplayer demo and thought it was boring, and the single player in the last one I just wasn't that into. It was very good, highly polished, ect, I just didn't find it particularly interesting and I don't really have any good memories of playing the game. I don't want to shell out 60 bucks for another experience like that. I'll wait for Demon Souls and MW2.
And no, this isn't this generation OOT. The hype and interest is just a fraction of what OOT was in the day, there is no Time Magazine article about uncharted 2, there is less than 300,000k pre-orders and it is 4th on the pre-order chart. Uncharted isn't going to make large changes to game design that will be felt for generations. Such a statement is just hyperbole and you could insert killzone 2, Uncharted 1, Halo 3, Gears Of War 2, Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy XIII or any other big game into that slot and it would have the same merit. Which is to say "It's hyped up, and has alot of work put into it, so it's like this generations OOT!!"
