Forums - Sony - just bought a psp-go today and loving it so far

@ Vanversive

People love rise and fall stories, even if they have to create the rises and/or the falls to enjoy them.

Sony did a "Veni, vedi, vici." with the PS1. People fell in love. They took them to high heavens witht he PS2. People went into obsessive mode. Sony got arrogant and cocky. People, understandably, lashed out at them. Sony went downwards, deservedly so, but repented for their sins and are making a great comeback. People can't stop beating the dead horse because headlines such as "How the mighty have fallen!" and "Former star is in total ruin!" speak too closely to the morbid attraction people feel in seeing the humble aspirant turned into arrogant star and down into the sewers.

There are very many examples around, specially in the entertainment industry, more akin to these situations. Nintendo suffered something similar as well.

Yeah but the PSP 3000 is only 50 dollars less than the go. So for 50$ (considering you want to purchase a PSP not  a PS3), you get 16 GB of flash, bluetooth, and a multimedia player easy to carry everywhere. Now if you dont have a PS3, then yes, I would grab a PS3 first.

I went to gamestop today, There was no sign the go was even out. I wanted to try it, while all consoles and the DS were there, there was no PSPGO to be seen.

@Icyedge ,you can pick up a psp 3000 between $274 and $299 bundled with a game ,thats a $150 to $170 difference, yes you get extra flash but if you want to use a memory card you need to buy another type an 8/16gb memory stick on the old model sufficed just as well for downloads anything more can be kept on the ps3 or pc, so $150 or more for basic form factor and extra flash doesn't add up if you compare psp go to the 3000 and it certainly doesn't add up to forty dollars less than a ps3

I really want to buy one, but with a PSP-2000 and 30 UMD games, it just doesn't make sense.
