Forums - Gaming Discussion - I am a cheater!

So I have been playing this world domination game on Facebook for 6 months or so now and only have 3 countries left to defeat. However, like many of the script/level based games on Facebook it requires coming in every 10 minutes or so and "attacking" other users to build up experience and money so I can get stronger. My attack is now just over 60,000 and I need 120,000 to defeat the next country. It may take another 3 months based on how often I play that game to get high enough just to beat the next country. Then I have to double that just to beat the last two countries.

So, I wrote a simple HTML page w/ javascript to recall the url that attacks this one specific user every 65 seconds so I don't have to play. :) Basically I just open the webpage and it refreshes every so often wether I am on my PC or not. So, the way I figure it, if I leave it on most of the day for the next week I'll easily be bigger than anyone else in the game and have conqured it all. :)

TAKE THAT RIDICULASLY SPACED LAST COUNTRIES!

lol, I started playing because of a coworker. Then I solely wanted to get all of the nations, just so I could say I did it. However, it is really crappy and I have stopped playing any FB game that is like this. However, it irritated me that the last three countries were so freaking far way from the other 240. So, I decided to write this script to finish the game and become the largest user ever! :)

But then you won't get the satisfaction of having done it yourself.

Isn't Nintendo developing some kinda cheat program?

Every 65? What a very odd number.

Here's the code if anyone wants to use it for something similar. Just replace "URL" with the site you want refreshed.

<html>
    <head>
        <script type="text/javascript">
            var i = 0;
            function loadFrame(){
                var secs = 65000;
                i = i+1;
                document.getElementById('frame1').innerHTML = "<h3>Called " + i + " times</h3><br />" +
                    "<iframe src='URL' width='100%' height='500'></iframe>";
                setTimeout("loadFrame()", secs);
            }
        </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="loadFrame();">
        <h1>Page Refresher</h1>
        <div id="frame1"></div>
    </body>
</html>

The game allows you to "attack" 10 users every 10 minutes. So if I refresh every 65 seconds (1min5secs), by the time I attack 10 users I can attack another 10 and so on.

Sounds like fun.

Facebook has a lot of games like this one. Bascially its kinda like a RPG in that you build experience and levels to gain something that helps you get more of something else. This game World Domination allows you to attack users based on your experience and army size to conquer nations and gain money. The money is used to build larger armies so you can attack more experienced users to gaing higher quanties of experience and money.

Problem is the last three nations require HUGE leaps in army size to defeat and unless you play constantly every day or have a huge ally (FB friends) to help you gain exp/$ to grow your army. It'll take forever. Well, now I don't have to do anything and I will get there. THen I can taunt my coworker who gave up months ago.
