Practice with me!!
I swear I'll make you a better player!
It took me months but I'm a force to be reckoned with with C. Viper!

If you can make me good with El Fuerte (and if I didn't sell my copy, I don't actually remember)... >_>

-edit-

And I did learn a lot of the other fighters as well, just El Fuerte was the most fun

Maybe your timings off??? Maybe you're not anticipating the other players attacks and countering with a more suitable one. Knowing is have the battle and if you don't know what to expect from your oppenent, you will surely lose against the experienced players.

Why do you think you're having so much trouble getting a hang of El Fuerte?
At 1st I use to think he was a push over, but lately online people have been ripping me apart with him. Do you even do the trials or fool around in training? Because if you want to be good and fast in this game, you got to work your thumbs out.

I got through most of the training I think, I forgot which one I got stuck on.  It took me forever to get cancelling down and all that fun stuff but I made myself sit down and figure it out one night.

As far as El Fuerte went, I considered myself pretty good with him, it's just going against the top tier characters I knew I was going to be beat and that's all anyone ever seemed to play online.  It would be fun when I got the random match that wasn't one of the top characters or someone being a dick with Ken, but most of the matches sucked.

first of all: tires don exit

With that said- i'm sure you just need to practice more. You can make Cammy or El fuerte or anyone as strong as Ken/ryu/clone

I play with other fighters just fine. It just depends on your aptitute. Street Fighter 4 is actually a rehash of the easiest series for Street Fighter. I would understand you if you were talking about Street Fighter Alpha or Third Strike. SF4 is a rehash of SF2. There is nothing complicated about it because it was created for casuals and gamers alike. If you don't get it......well....you have a long way to go.

I get it just fine, you're really telling me that if I'm playing a bottom tier fighter against a top tier fighter that I have a good chance?

You're crazy if you think that SFIV is actually balanced.  Just do a quick Street Fighter IV tier list search in Google and you'll see there are actual tiers.  A balanced shouldn't really have that.

Well all fighters have tiers..to my knowledge to I dont recall ANY fighters that dont have some sort of tier, even a casual fighter like Smash Bros series has tiers, but practice makes perfect, take the character you want to play with and fight every other continuously till you know how to take them out

Yeah, I should be more clear-- every fighter will have tiers but those tiers should be close.

With something like SSBB, those tiers are close.  You don't have this giant gap between the lower and higher characters like something like SFIV has.  I can play amongst equal skilled SSBB players with a "bad" character and them with their "good" character and still do well.  With SFIV, you just can't.

Yes they do.

I mean, Capcom has already come out and said that they know that SF4 is unbalanced.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

And just to state a little more clearly-- I don't care the game isn't perfectly balanced. I totally do not expect it to be because that would just be an insane undertaking.

What I would like is a game where things at least are close so when I go online I'm not constantly playing the same three or four fighters all with pretty similar fighting styles. If I don't like those fighters it means I either have to play a fighter I don't like or get use to losing a lot.

Either of those cases isn't fun.

-edit-

Also remember I also excluding world class/tournament type stuff.  Having top tiers for something like that is perfectly acceptable and undestandable, I'm just talking about playing random games online.  It's annoying to have a large cast of characters but only seeing the same 3 or 4.

I understand...but your in luck...CAPCOM said they will be rebalancing all of SF4, hopefully that resolves it, but I usually end 1 or 2 characters in fighters just because the process of mastering and remembering everybody is daunting

i rock with sakura.
and most characters... what version you are playing?

This is what we would look like
