AVG has both free and paid for products. I am not sure which is in the Number 1 slot for the purpose of this graph, never actually heard of Ikarus so dunno but number 3 is free. So it is entirely possible that the answer is the new Microsoft AV product.

I would not worry myself about Microsoft heritage with One care as that is dead and my experience of that was well crapp it actually broke MS Office and had a problem with a Windows update during my brief time with the product. The new product is not One Care, and is an evolution above.

The list is probably true. NOD32 is one of the worst at detecting spywares and malwares. I keep getting spywares on NOD32, but I think it's one of the best on virus detection. Avira is superb at both.

that's funny, i have Microsoft Security Essentials installed and only this webpage open in chrome. Vgc just installed the following on my computer and MSE caught them immediately.

Trojan:Win32/FakeSpypro
Virus:Win32/Virut.gen!O

VGchartz needs to fix this spyware problem that comes from their ads. Virut is one of the worst virus you can get.

No surprise that MS has such a good antivirus.. They are the ones that created the OS so they are the ones that know its weaknesses best... And they can still improve it. So yeah.

AVG got on my nerves a few months ago, can't remember why exactly. I switched to Avira AntiVir and I'm currently happy with it.
