It totally depends, there are 3 way really to finish each chapter.

1. Run through the story
2. To Do the side quests and the story
3. Clean this games clock.

To do Episode 1 is to know you will have little or a lot of work to do in episode 2.

So heres how it goes.

Episode 1:
1 = Fast probably 9 hours tops depends on your level and if you know what to do.
2 = About 15 hours some of the parts of this can be difficult enough to keep you.
3 = 40 hours, this means your going to rip episode 2 a new one.

Episode 2:
1 = This is doable in 13 hours because the ending mobs will rip you a new one if your not prepared.
2 = 19 hours if can be longer if you don’t get too bumbed out by the super freakin grim story.
3= I don’t know.

All together if you gun for getting set items and rank 10 items and so on then this game can hold you. Not to mention the slots and the raw mats to make gear. Plus mixing your styles of play.

Well I'm already 11hrs in, and only did two bosses and all but two side quests which I'm finishing up now. So yeah it probably will be on the longer end for me. Then there is online, which I haven't touched yet. Btw my mage is at level 23 now.

awesome when your int gives you more than 170 mp you can kill a lot! but focus more on leveling the skills. Trust me for mage skills are very very important for Episode 2.

Very important, try to get 1 to level 10, or 2 get everything else to level 8 but make sure you put at least 1 point into everything.

Unlock the entire tree.

Well I already have fire and fire storm to level 10. I'm going to start working on Ice now.

Just check the sky for dragons, they all seem to give nice exp in episode 1.

The land Dragons seem to kick it in for chapter 2, but they hit so often it's not worth it unless you can stay out of their aggro.

I haven't met a dragon yet. Am I at a good enough level to fight them? Also where do they occur the most?

The good ones are in rhianos mountain range. They all fly pretty high up though, you can either spot them from a distance or look for a shadow on the ground.

And how do you attack them if they are so high?
