One of the things that have sort of disappeared from VGChartz, is the random questions that came up in threads. It also seems that the "hunt for the truth" has disappeared. This is unacceptable!

So, this thread is an attempt to recreate that. Of course, it would be good if somebody else tried to answer questions too. If you're going to answer, you have to actually know your facts though, or the thread won't have a point.

Here's an instance:

Question: What is the Wii's market share in 3rd party software

(You don't have to form your question in that manner).

Answer:

The total software sales for the machines are:

Wii: 336.29 million
Ps3: 153.46 million
X360: 258.15 million

The first party sales are (go to WorldWide total sales, and search for console and publisher)

Wii: 184.73 million
Ps3: 32.95 million
X360: 51.93 million

That makes the 3rd party sales

Wii: 151.56 million
Ps3: 120.51 million
X360: 206.22 million

And in percentages, that is

X360: 43.1%
Wii:  31.68%
Ps3: 25.19% 

So, now ask away! No question is too easy, but a fair bit are likely to be too hard. Any help in replying questions will be great.

Lets see, we can have a thread with 100 different conversations and questions that people have to search through to see if the question they want to ask has already been answered or we can just make another thread.
