Forums - Sony - PSP GO - Thoughts?

My thoughts? I don't want one.. lol.. I only have 6 UMD games.. And, I've got family guy on UMD. LOL, and it's in my PSP's drive right now... I almost never use it for games anymore, but, other forms of entertainment.. I don't even listen to music, because my headphones broke again... Why doesn't sony make headphone jacks L shaped so the cord doesn't get messed up after a few months.

Anyway. Jumping Flash! 2 came out today on PSN.. That prompted me to get both of them. I just have a 1GB memory stick.. and I'm really stretching it. I've pretty much turned 1GB into 10 by having only the stuff I absolutely want.

I know, off subject, sorry. Anyway, I want a 32 GB memory stick, and a PSP 4000 if the screen remains the same size, and it of course has a UMD drive. That way, I get more... for less.

UMD drive + 32GB + Bigger screen... The more I think about the Blue-tooth, the more i kinda want the Go.. But, that's only because I can use my cell as a modem.. And have my PSP online... wireless, and remotely.

off topic guys, i was only responding to the guy who said "wrong" when he has no clue what hes talking about.

Oh that was me.

It is wrong.

Extreme price point?

Wrong.

No UMD?

Wrong.

Lower batter life?

Wrong.

This was a screw up by Sony. It could have been better.

Price point is fine. The compensation is fine. Its what the PSP launched at, it will drop.

No UMD? The engineering choice is smaller, more portable, cannot do this with UMD Drive. Right.

Lower Battery Life? Only if you keep the screen on super sharp, if you drop it its significantly lower.

No it is not. Sony has fucked up with the prices of their systems in their past yet they CONTINUE to make the same mistake? People won't be amused to see that the PSPGo is $250 when they can get an Xbox or Wii for cheaper.

It's a horrible decision by Sony. "Hey, how can we make people hate us more?" "I know! Let's make the PSP Go not play PSP games!". How much do they piss off the average consumer saying that if you buy the PSP Go you can't play PSP games? A lot.

Okay then.

This thing was a screw up by Sony. It is basically a new handheld when it should be a remodel.

How can you feel a DSi is worth 199$ and a PSPgo is not worth 249$? The PSPgo to DSi is like a PS3 to a wii. The technology is far far far more advanced and more expensive.

Everything is good on it except the fact that it won't let me get a connection. So it's nice to look at but it seems Sony doesn't like to sell games. I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting the PSP-3000 because I want to play GT as well as some other games!!!

I just got a white PSP Go I never had a Psp so no worrys on the UMD's for me its totally worth the $250!!!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're doing something wrong.

I'd say that is a very sturdy limb. In my experience, problems (hardware or software) are due to the incompetence of the user. For instance, Mac's whole campaign is really based off of the ignorance of users. I have used PC my whole life and don't ever have virus or driver problems. If you know what you're doing and don't click on crap that says "hEyyy, ii jusst saw a picx of yoou hears teh link: -insert virus-" then you will probably be safe. Oh, and as long as you stay away from porn sites.

Same. I've only had one blue screen and i just rebooted with no issues then cleaned up the registry. Still, I wouldn't give up on the go yet. Just RTFM.

What they need to start having are Computer or Electronic Competence Classes. Give students a bunch of F'ed up computers and teach them how to fix them. The only way anyone learns how is through trial and error.

You are absolutely right. Because I click the button that sais 'connection' and the PSP sais it 'can't' connect is completely and utterly my fault. It might actually be because I'm in Canada and due to a poor connection (which is what the PSP sais, connection is not strong enough) I am not able to connect. I see a lot of returns happening in a lot of places.
